" Authentic Beauty~Living a Life of Purity"

Psalm 119:9-11 "How can a young woman keep her way pure? By living according to your word. I seek you with all my heart; do not let me stray from your commands. I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you." "...to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of gladness instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spiritof despair." — Isaiah 61:3 -

 

"I read this question the other day, and it really hit home with me…. “What makes me feel most dead to myself and alive in Christ?”
That is just it! We all know that we must lay down our own ideas of what we want to do in life, and do what Christ would have us do, but that is really hard. Our selfishness tends to get in the way. We as girls can become so caught up in the emotions of life, Our looks, clothes, boyfriends, and more, that we tend to forget that it is ALL about HIM.

What is truly important is what God thinks of us. He sees you as His princess, and He calls you beautiful, and wonderful. He wants to show you the beauty that He intended, the beauty you might overlook. He wants us to live a “set apart” life of purity for others to see. Pure in our mind, heart, soul, and with our bodies.

The really cool part about this is that if we are following the path that He has planned for us, then being pure with our thoughts and with our actions will be so much easier.

I know that when I am having daily communion with my Jesus, that my mind is clearer to listen, my heart is longing to be obedient, and my spirit is filled with joy. Living a life of purity is not the easiest road, but that is OK. As we are lead to the cross, our beauty will shine forth, and He will be able to use us in ways we could never have imagined!

I am so excited about what God has in store for the team of VNTB #11 and the candidates to come. God is an amazing GOD that can do marvelous things if we are open to listening and obeying. I feel so honored to be the director of VNTB #11, Authentic Beauty, Living a Life of Purity. Please pray and ask God if He is calling you to serve on this weekend. I would be so blessed and thrilled to serve along side of any one of you.
